These are of a dog belonging to my Aunt, who I've affectionately named Pugzilla. Her name is actually Juju, and she's an adorable wheezy pile of love. I had to take my reference photos clandestinely, because whenever I showed that I was paying any attention to the dog she would jump up and practically convulse with joy.
How funny that my first visit to your blog reveals a ridiculous awesome rendition of fat, puggy JuJu! Awesome! Does my mom know that JuJu is famous! She will go crazy once she finds out :) I am glad I discovered your blog. I love your work! Is "Mark's Horse" for sale? ReplyDeleteI did warn her that I was taking references for paintings when Juju came over, but I don't think she's seen the paintings yet. I've gone back and fiddled with them a little more in the interest of making the dog look a little less gray.
I did give Mark's Horse away to the lady that made my wedding dress custom for me, she had one that apparently looked just like Mark's so it worked out really well. I could take a jab at your Caesar and see what comes of it- if you like the result then I'll give you the family price.
